What Is STOKE?

STOKE is a multi nut & seed butter formulated to support optimal physical and mental performance. STOKE was created by two pro runners who saw the nutritional disadvantages and limitations of their pre-run peanut butter and wanted better.

Why STOKE?

Most nut butters and nutrition products fall short because they prioritize profit over quality. Many are packed with added sugars, preservatives, and cheap oils that do more harm than good. Others try to make up for a lack of real nutrition by adding synthetic vitamins and minerals—many of which the body can’t properly absorb. And even the “cleaner” options often rely on just one ingredient, which limits the diversity of nutrients your body needs to truly perform and recover well.

STOKE takes a whole food approach. STOKE is crafted from a variety of nutrient-dense nuts, seeds, and anti-inflammatory superfoods that support:

  • Cardiovascular Output
  • Muscle Performance
  • Brain Function
  • Long-Lasting Energy
  • Superior Nutrient Absorption

STOKE contains no artificial ingredients, no preservatives, no seed oils, no hydrogenated oils, and no “natural flavors.” Just real food, purposefully chosen for performance.

Why Not Peanut Butter?

Peanut butter has long been a go-to snack for athletes, and while admittedly tasty, it has some drawbacks:

  • Aflatoxins: Peanuts grow underground making them prone to Aspergillus mold contamination – a mold that produces harmful carcinogenic aflatoxins that contaminate the peanuts. While Aflatoxin levels are typically low in peanut butter, even trace amounts can be harmful.
  • High Omega-6s, Low Omega-3s: Peanut butter is rich in linoleic acid (Omega-6) but lacks Omega-3s - an imbalance that can contribute to inflammation.
  • Limited Nutrients: Since it’s made from just peanuts, it misses out on the diverse range of nutrients found in other nuts, seeds, and superfoods.
  • Pesticide Exposure: Conventional peanuts are one of the most heavily treated crops, often sprayed with pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides throughout their growing cycle. These chemical residues can remain on the peanuts even after processing, potentially contributing to long-term health risks such as hormonal disruption, immune system stress, or increased toxic burden on the body - especially with frequent consumption.

STOKE is what happens when athletes demand more from their nutrition. It’s real food, engineered to fuel the human body.

FORMULATED FOR PERFORMANCE

  • Macronutrients: Polyunsaturated and Monounsaturated Fats to support increased time to exhaustion & faster muscle recovery through less reduction in testosterone levels & greater fat oxidation. Complete Protein (all 9 essential amino acids) to support decreased muscle breakdown and improved muscle recovery.
  • Micronutrients: B Vitamins to support energy production & blood health, Selenium to support proper thyroid function & energy metabolism, Magnesium to support muscle function and recovery, Copper & Iron to support blood health, & Zinc to support immune function.
  • Antioxidants: Anthocyanins in Tart Cherry to enhance blood flow & endurance performance, Curcumin in Turmeric to support cardiovascular health, increased brain derived neurotropic factor, & muscle recovery, & other Polyphenols to support Anti-Inflammatory effects.

Cashews

High in copper and iron to support energy and blood health, magnesium to support muscle function and recovery, manganese to support bone health, polyphenols and carotenoids which serve as antioxidants and support anti-inflammatory effects, and protein.

Brazil Nuts

High in selenium to support proper thyroid function and energy metabolism, zinc to support immune function, magnesium, and copper. Brazil Nuts have also been shown to increase glutathione peroxidase which helps reduce inflammation.

Almonds

High in vitamin E to help protect cells from oxidative damage, magnesium, polyphenols, iron, and protein. Almonds also contain quercetin which have been shown to clear senescent cells and fight inflammation.

Pumpkin Seeds

Contain Vitamin E, magnesium, zinc, copper, and iron. Pumpkin seeds also contain carotenoids that have antioxidant properties and have been shown to fight inflammation.

Chia Seeds

Contain Chlorogenic acid (an antioxidant that may lower blood pressure), Caffeic Acid to help reduce inflammation, Kaempferol (an antioxidant), Quercetin, ALA omega 3, magnesium, and protein. Chia Seeds have also been shown to help reduce inflammation marker hs-CRP.

Sunflower Seeds

High in vitamin E and selenium as well as phenolic acids and flavonoids which have antioxidant properties and have been shown to fight inflammation.

Tart Cherries

Loaded with antioxidants, electrolytes, and anti-inflammatory compounds. The Anthocyanins and phenolic acids in Tart Cherries increase blood flow and the production of Nitric Acid, both of which have been shown to improve cardiovascular output. These compounds also reduce exercise-induced inflammation and oxidative stress, speeding up muscle recovery. Natural melatonin in tart cherries enhances sleep efficiency and duration, critical for overnight repair. Potassium and magnesium restore electrolyte balance lost through sweat, supporting optimal muscle function and reducing cramping.

Turmeric

Contains a compound named curcumin which has been shown to have powerful anti-imflammatory effects, boost brain derived neurotropic factor (a protein shown to support attention, learning, and memory, and fight against depression and Alzheimer’s disease in the brain), support cardiovascular health, and increase the antioxidant capacity of the body. Turmeric comes in numerous varieties. Madras turmeric is the most widely distributed variety of turmeric and contains a curcumin percentage of roughly 3%. STOKE contains Alleppey turmeric, a less common variety of turmeric with a curcumin percentage of roughly 5%.

Nutritional Yeast

High in B vitamins which support energy production and blood health, molybdenum which supports the processing of waste products and toxins, manganese which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, zinc, and selenium. Nutritional yeast also contains two powerful antioxidants: glutathione and selenomethionine.

Egg Yolk Powder

Egg yolks are rich in choline for neuromuscular signaling, vitamin A for vision, and B12 for red blood cell production. They provide lutein and zeaxanthin to protect against exercise-induced oxidative stress in the eyes. Yolks contain dietary cholesterol that may raise HDL and shift LDL to a larger, less atherogenic subtype, supporting cardiovascular health. The Omega-3 in egg yolks lowers triglycerides, aiding metabolic efficiency.

Cinnamon

Contains iron, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, and polyphenols. Cinnamon also contains E-cinnamaldehyde and o-methoxycinnamaldehyde which are compounds linked to reducing inflammation.

Honey

Rapid source of glucose and fructose, supporting glycogen replenishment and sustained energy during prolonged exercise. Rich in polyphenols and flavonoids, honey exhibits antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties that have been shown to reduce exercise-induced oxidative stress, enhance immune defense, and promote tissue repair. Its low-to-moderate glycemic response makes it a functional carbohydrate option for endurance athletes.

Pink Himalayan Salt

Pink Himalayan salt is an unrefined form of sodium chloride containing trace elements such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron. These minerals are essential cofactors in physiological processes relevant to athletic performance, including osmotic regulation, nerve conduction, and skeletal muscle excitation-contraction coupling.

Pecans

Good source of copper, Thiamine (Vitamin B1), and zinc. Pecans are also high in monounsaturated fatty acids which have been linked to proper heart health.
